Thanks and yes that's a very good point. I guess it all depends how much insulation there is above the rafters. I'm guessing that I should be ok as I don't think the temps go above 10C up there...

Thanks Jack that sounds achievable. I'm sure my loft never reaches 0C as I have a water tank up there so it probably stays more than a few degrees above freezing, maybe 5-10 if i'm lucky. I think...
